Taboo Muskoka is seeking professional and customer-focused Guest Services Agents to join our team in Gravenhurst.
Our Guest Services Agents are very often the very first employee our guests meet. They play a critical role in ensuring our customers are happy and have an exceptional experience. You may think it's only about checking guests in and out, but it's much more than that! You are the central hub, knowing what is going on around the resort, sharing information, and ensuring guests get what they need, when they need it. And you can't do this alone. You will work closely with your team members, supervisor, and other departments. Collaboration, teamwork and communication are key! And here's what else:
Key Responsibilities:
- Check-in and check-out resort guests and condo unit owners in a timely, friendly, courteous manner to ensure a seamless arrival and departure experience
- Perform and complete duties of Front Desk Operations including but not limited to taking/making guest reservations, attending to the switchboard, and operating the Front Desk
- Promote and communicate resort and surrounding area information and activities
- Assist in resolving guest issues
- Answer guest inquiries promptly and in professional and courteous manner
- Work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with other Taboo Muskoka team members in the Guest Services Department and other resort departments
- Complete daily and monthly reporting requirements
- Prepare accurate daily pass-along information
- Contribute to achieving guest loyalty by exceeding expectations and providing warm, personal service with each interaction
- Maintain inventory of vacant rooms, reservations and room assignments
- Answer guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Knowledge of resort Health & Safety/Emergency procedures
- Other duties as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or Assistant Guest Services Manager
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Resort Management is an asset
- Experience in Guest Services is preferred
- Positive and dynamic personality
- Must be computer literate, with experience in Windows, Internet, Excel spreadsheets and email. Experience with Maestro PMS is also preferred but not required.
- Able to communicate effectively and professional in English; verbal and written
- Fluency in a second language will be considered an asset
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-orientated
- Committed to exceeding guest expectations at all times
- Ability to thrive and work in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Ability to work under pressure
Work Arrangement:
- Indoors, standing at the front desk
- Movement throughout the resort property and other departments
- Constant standing and walking (approximately 90% of the shift)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand throughout an eight-hour shift
Compensation:
- Pay: $18.50 per hour
