Great Gulf is seeking a talented and experienced AI Product Owner to join our team in Toronto.
This role is an integral part of our enterprise AI transformation, focused on identifying and delivering practical AI use cases that improve productivity and drive measurable operational value across the business.
You’ll work closely with business units, the AI implementation team, and the Senior AI Product Owner to move initiatives from idea to pilot to production. This position is ideal for a product professional who is eager to deepen their expertise in applied AI and build a strong foundation in AI-enabled product ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Strategy & Use Case Development
- Partner with business units to identify, document, and assess AI use cases aligned with productivity gains and operational improvement
- Support prioritization of AI initiatives based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness
- Translate business problems into clear AI-focused requirements, workflows, and success criteria with guidance from senior team members
- Contribute to AI initiatives through defined phases—from pilots and prototypes to production deployment
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT, product, and AI development teams
- Facilitate or support workshops, discovery sessions, and working groups to surface opportunities and adoption risks
- Support business unit champions and contribute to AI Council activities by preparing materials, insights, and progress updates
- Communicate AI concepts, limitations, and outcomes clearly to non-technical audiences
Delivery, Measurement & Governance
- Support planning and execution of AI pilots, ensuring clear objectives, evaluation criteria, and graduation paths
- Track and report on adoption, usage, and success metrics such as time saved, error reduction, and ROI
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation of AI-enabled workflows
- Ensure AI solutions align with governance standards, acceptable-use policies, data-access rules, and security requirements
- Document learnings, best practices, and reusable patterns to support broader adoption
Continuous Improvement
- Identify process changes required to fully realize AI benefits beyond tool adoption
- Monitor risks such as prompt degradation, vendor changes, shadow AI usage, or stalled adoption
- Assess AI tools and models to ensure ongoing relevance and performance, flagging recommendations for review
- Support training initiatives, internal communications, and enablement materials related to AI adoption
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or similar role
- Experience working with business stakeholders to define and deliver technology-enabled solutions
- Demonstrated ability to analyze processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentations
- Strong documentation skills, including requirements, process flows, and reports
- Some experience with AI, automation, analytics, or advanced digital tools
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and business fit
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI-enabled workflow design
- Comfort working in emerging domains where requirements are not fully defined
- Hands-on experience with SQL, no-code automation tools, or scripting
- Experience in the home builder industry
- Proactive in keeping pace with emerging AI trends and translating that into practical recommendations
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment – sitting/working at desk/computer in a shared office space and/or remote working from home
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $75,000 – $80,000
