Beach Attendant - Lora Bay/LBCA

The Lora Bay Community Association is seeking a responsible, friendly, and observant individual to join our team as a Beach Attendant. In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact as homeowners are entering the property. They have an opportunity to create a “relationship” with each guest and make them feel welcome and safe. The Beach Attendant should be a wealth of knowledge, have an upbeat personality and be approachable ensuring those homeowners who are allowed on property, helping to maintain a welcoming atmosphere while upholding the safety and security of our community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and record homeowners in a timely, friendly, courteous manner to ensure seamless arrival and departure experience.
- Perform and complete duties of Beach Attendant including but not limited to:
- Greet each visitor
- Cross reference the name they’ve provided with homeowner spreadsheet
- Deny access to those individuals who are not registered.
- Deny access to those individuals who are not abiding by LBCA rules
- Direct visitors to the appropriate parking facility
- Answer any beach related questions
- Assist in resolving guest issues.
- Answer guest inquiries promptly and in professional and courteous manner
- Work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with other LBCA team members.
- Complete daily and monthly reporting requirements
- Contributing to achieving the loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing warm personal service with each interaction. Answer guest inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Knowledge of beach Health & Safety/Emergency procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- High school diploma is an asset, however not required.
- Experience in Guest Services is preferred.
- Friendly, positive and dynamic personality.
- Self- motivating and ability to ask questions
- Able to communicate effectively and professional in English; verbal and written.
- Fluency in a second language will be considered an asset.
- Ability to thrive and work in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- Outdoors sitting and/or standing.
- 100% of the time is spent at the beach greeting guests.
- Must be able to work all summer weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Job can range from standing for long periods of time to sitting for long periods of time (30 + minutes)
