As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving projects to completion while maintaining project scope and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the hands-on project co-ordination and support services related to the development and management of all project-related documentation (e.g. project charter, plan, schedule, communications plan), as well as the development and execution of project management processes (e.g. issues, risk and change control). This role will be best suited for an individual with an extensive background in overseeing software development projects from start to finish, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of several areas of IT.


  • Work with internal teams and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project scopes
  • Coordinate the work of multiple IT teams on a weekly and daily basis, ensuring effective prioritization, planning, assignment of tasks and efficient execution 
  • Assist with identifying and implementing the best tracking tools for:
    • Break/Fix work
    • Projects
    • Software Enhancement Requests
  • Coordinate internal resources, external partners and vendors for the smooth execution of projects
  • Create schedules and project timelines with detailed work plans to track progress
  • Track deliverables and keep the team updated about timelines
  • Coordinate meetings, which includes scheduling dates/times and locations (if applicable), drafting of meeting materials (e.g. agendas, meeting minutes)
  • Follow up on action items for internal team members and customers
  • Monitor and report on project progress using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Ensure that any project concerns or risks are communicated to senior team members
  • Prepare and perform communications of status reports and updates to internal team members, management and stakeholders
  • Ensure the ongoing participation, satisfaction and commitment of existing partners and stakeholders related to priority projects through ongoing communication
  • Create and maintain thorough project documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned



This is a highly visible position requiring the successful candidate to be in touch with several business units such as Low & High-Rise Construction/Development, Accounting, and other IT teams throughout the Great Gulf organization. You will also have direct oversight over multiple software applications such as Dynamic Builder (proprietary), Navision & Newstar (ERP).



  • At least Five (5) years of Project Coordination/Management experience specifically working with Developers and understanding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Agile Methodology
  • Excellent leadership skills and qualities; able to manage various and strong personality types and steer a team to one common goal
  • PMP, ScrumMaster or other designation is strongly preferred 
  • Navision or Newstar ERP experience is an asset 
  • Real Estate/Construction industry is an asset 
  • Advanced technical skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Successful management of large, multi-facility, enterprise projects
  • Experience working in complex IT environments 
  • Experience using Project Management software. (Jira)
  • Knowledge of latest developments and leading practices in the project management industry and profession, and familiarity with best practices in other industries, sectors or jurisdictions related to project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of project management processes, plans, and communication tools




Working from home with the ability to travel up to 25% across North America




Able to travel via car/plane when necessary, throughout Canada and the U.S.
