Compliance Officer

Are you reliable, detailed oriented and have experience working for a Real Estate developer?  Great Gulf, award winning home builder, is looking for a Compliance Officer to support our Sales Department starting in December, to backfill for a Maternity Leave.  Reporting to the Broker of Record, you must be experienced in managing purchase and sale agreements, ensuring compliance with all Real Estate regulatory and legislative requirements, and managing the overall administrative duties of a Sales Office.  


The Compliance Officer is responsible for the day to day processing of commission transactions for both internal and external agents, along with ensuring all transactions are carried out in compliance with the Real Estate Regulations. You would be responsible for maintaining and implementing new real estate requirements as outlined by RECO and/or various real estate boards etc.. as well as looking after the day-to-day brokerage administration. 


Key Responsibilities include:

Creating, maintaining, processing and updating listing agreements/Lease agreements approval

Train and assist Sales Agents with the end to end process listing and lease agreements 

Manage the Purchase and Sale Agreement process with all Sales Agents

Oversee all contracts through closing

Managing office listings and showing appointments

Ensure the branch is fully compliant with the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act, 2002 and regulations, RECO, TRREB, FINTRAC, and all other regulatory and legislative requirements

Reporting to Broker of Record, oversee and manage all TRREB and RECO matters, and required actions and timely responses

Prepare regular compliance training sessions for agents

Maintain and manage all Brokerage office functions, emails, phones, and Brokerage memberships, invoices

Registering/paperwork of Real Estate Sale Representatives into/out of Gulf Lake Realty LTD

Be the first point of contact in handling all Brokerage inquiries

Maintain confidentiality of all information

Process sales office supplies orders  purchases

Commission Processing Internal/External (Highrise/low rise) memos, invoicing, requisitions

Overall Support and coordination of day-to-day Sales Office activities and launches

Assisting with preparing agreement documents

Maintain, update and report on sales data as required

Participate in the recruitment process of any Sale Office Administrators when required

Point of contact for Sales Office staff 

Other duties as required

 

Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Real Estate or Business Administration is an asset, but not required

Experience working at a Real Estate Brokerage

Experience working for a Real Estate Developer (Sales)

Experience using MLS for both research and listing and lease purpose

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work well both independently and with others in a team setting

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) 

Proficiency in DocuSign is an asset, but not required

High level of professionalism and discretion

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Experience in recruitment process an asset
