Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will perform detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and communicate with business units. To succeed in this role, the incumbent should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. The incumbent will assist in supporting Great Gulf's homebuilder ERP solution, Newstar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of and represent several IT departments in all dealings with the business.
  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and assist with developing and implementing solutions.
  • Managing communications between IT and the rest of the business units
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Working closely with business units, IT technicians, and managerial staff.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Be an escalation contact for business requests in progress
  • Tracking user acceptance testing.
  • Managing minor projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Assist with prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
